Fannie Lou Hamer

I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired

Fannie Lou Hamer was a civil and voting rights activist. She was a woman of faith and brought song and determination with her everywhere she went. She coined the phrase I am sick and tired of being sick and tired. She fought to exhaustion and suffered physical assault for her commitment to registering people to vote.
